The fun-loving growers at Bower & Branch have done it again! They’ve taken the classic Emerald Green Arborvitae and given it the “poodle treatment.” Our new Emerald Green Arborvitae Poodle Topiary Tree is specially pruned to have three tiers of foliage arranged in perfect spheres—like the tail of a poodle who’s just back from the dog groomer. No daily walks or poop-scooping necessary with this fluffy green poodle tree; the only special care it needs is a twice-yearly trim to keep it nice and tidy. Maintenance isn’t difficult, and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you have about how to keep your leafy friend looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed!

Your Emerald Green Arborvitae Poodle Topiary Tree will be your faithful companion for a long time. Emerald Green Arborvitae is a selection of Eastern Arborvitae, which holds the record for the longest-lived North American tree east of the Rockies. It has been known to live an astonishing 1,700 years! An ancient Eastern Arborvitae known as the “Witch Tree” still growing today on the shores of Lake Superior in Minnesota was described as an old tree in the early 1700s by French explorers. The Witch Tree is considered a sacred tree by American Indians there, who have long known of Eastern Arborvitae’s medicinal powers. In fact, the vitamin C in its needles saved explorer Jacques Cartier’s crew from scurvy in Canada in 1535.
The symmetry and formal nature of our Emerald Green Arborvitae Poodle Topiary Tree lendsitself well to use in pairs to call attention to a special feature of your home or landscape. A pair of Emerald Green Poodles flanking a doorway, gate, path, or bench will welcome guests into your home and garden in high style.
