If you’re in the market for an extra-special accent tree with four-season appeal, then look no further than our Dwarf Alberta Spruce Double Spiral Topiary Tree. This exquisite evergreen tree has the wow factor to elevate your landscape to the next level. Creating a double spiral tree from an ordinary Christmas tree-shaped Spruce is extremely difficult and is a task best left to the professionals—like our talented team at the Bower & Branch nursery. Once the tree is in its final form, however, maintenance is relatively simple. You’ll want to give this slow grower a trim once a year to keep its form picture-perfect. Your guests and neighbors will be impressed!

The Story
The White Spruce is a forest tree of the northern states and Canada that can reach 100 feet tall in the wild. In 1904, two men found some White Spruce seedlings in Alberta, Canada like none that anyone had ever seen—the needles were extra-short and the growth was extremely tight and congested. The two men were Alfred Rehder and John George Jack of Harvard’s Arnold Arboretum, and they sent the seedlings they collected back to Boston. One of the little trees survived the 2,700 mile move and became the hugely popular Dwarf Alberta Spruce we know and love today.
