The Story

Hollywood Juniper was actually discovered in Japan, where it was originally known as the Kaizuka Juniper. When this charismatic evergreen tree came to the U.S. around 1920, however, Americans called it the Torulosa Juniper. Today, it’s known by yet another nickname, the Hollywood Juniper, because of its popularity in landscapes in Hollywood, California. This leading lady (it’s a female tree, but you’ll probably never see the tiny flowers or fruit) is a bombshell with a striking silhouette of long, curvy branches and robes of rich green foliage. Our talented growers have gently pruned our Hollywood Junipers to accentuate each tree’s naturally elegant form, turning them into stunning Oriental Pompom Topiary Trees for your landscape.
