The Story

Wichita Blue Juniper is a type of Rocky Mountain Juniper, a tough, drought-tolerant tree of our western states. This remarkable tree clings to mountainsides, thriving in challenging environments where other trees fear to tread. Rocky Mountain Juniper normally has blue-green foliage, but the selection known as Wichita Blue sports dazzling sky-blue needles that will make you swoon. No one seems to know when or where Wichita Blue originated (Wichita perhaps?), but this standout has been turning heads for decades. Shaped into a Spiral Topiary Tree, Wichita Blue Juniper is a knockout!

The Details

Did you know that Juniper berries are used to flavor gin, and that the word “gin” comes from the French word for Juniper? You won’t find any berries on your Wichita Blue Juniper Spiral Topiary Tree, however. Wichita Blue is a male form that sets no fruit.
