Your guests will stop in their tracks, wondering if what they’re seeing is real—a tree with leaves in three different colors? In reality, we’ve planted a green-leaved Eastern Redbud, a purple-leaved Forest Pansy Redbud, and a white-variegated Alley Cat Redbud Tree together to create this fun, flashy centerpiece for your landscape. Whether by the front door or along the back patio, plant Redbud Bouquet in a high-traffic area where you and your family and friends will admire it every day. A Bower & Branch™ exclusive.

The Story
At Bower & Branch, instead of growing the same cookie-cutter trees as everyone else, we like to be creative and try new things. Redbuds are favorites of ours, and we’ve had a lot of fun with them, growing them with twisted trunks, in espalier form, and even as Living Tree Chairs! Redbud Bouquet is our latest take on the beloved native Redbud Tree, and you won’t find this one-of-a-kind beauty anywhere else. Redbud Bouquet is brand new, but since we’ve unveiled it, it’s been a huge hit. We’re pretty sure you’ll love it, too.
The Details
In early spring, Redbud Bouquet will look like an ordinary Redbud Tree, with its perky little lavender-pink blossoms on zigzag stems. Soon after the flowers fade, however, the leaves will unfurl and a magical transformation will take place. Prepare to hear brakes squealing.
How to Grow
Caring for Redbud Bouquet is much the same as caring for any other Redbud Tree. Well-drained soil is essential, and this tree will even tolerate dry conditions once established, though it will perform better with regular water. Wet feet it will not abide. Plant Redbud Bouquet in a sunny or lightly shaded site; afternoon shade is beneficial in very hot climates. One thing you will want to stay on top of is pruning. You’ll probably need to trim the green branches out regularly to keep the green-purple-white ratio balanced (the green branches will try to take over if you don’t). Just prune small branches back to their point of origin. Our growers are on call at grower@bowerandbranch.com if you have questions.
