Best in Show! Our Blue Point Juniper Poodle Topiary Tree, pruned to mimic the perky tail of a poodle, will be a fun addition to your landscape. Don’t get us wrong—the classic styling of this neatly manicured Topiary Tree is one hundred percent formal, but the Blue Point Poodle Tree does formal with a touch of whimsy. Plant it in a mixed border to provide a quirky focal point all year round. Or, plant a matching pair of Poodle Trees on either side of a doorway, gate, or path to direct guests to your door or to another “outdoor room” in your garden.

Blue Point Juniper is a type of Chinese Juniper, a rugged evergreen conifer native to a vast region that includes China, Japan, Mongolia, and Korea. Chinese Juniper naturally assumes a wonderfully diverse array of forms, from low groundhuggers to towering trees, and in all shades of green, blue, and gold. Blue Point is a selection that has stood the test of time, having originated at an American nursery in the early 1970s. Even in its pyramidal form Blue Point Juniper remains a popular choice, but shaped into a Poodle Topiary Tree it becomes a highly sought after work of art!
Our Blue Point Juniper Poodle Topiary Trees aren’t churned out in a factory somewhere, but are handcrafted one by one in the great outdoors by our talented team of growers. It isn’t a process that can be rushed; it takes several years to go from a single cutting to a fully finished piece of living sculpture that’s ready to be showcased in your yard, but we’re proud of the results.
How to Grow
Chinese Junipers are tough, adaptable plants, and the Blue Point Chinese Juniper is no exception. Its only non-negotiable demands are all-day sun and excellent drainage. It appreciates regular irrigation during establishment, but after a year or two it should be quite drought tolerant. You’ll need to trim your Blue Point Juniper Poodle Topiary Tree on a regular basis—at least once a year—to keep it looking tidy. Maintenance isn’t as difficult as you may think, as long as you don’t let it get too shaggy before getting the shears out. Please don’t hesitate to ask our expert growers for help at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
